Chicken Paprikash
Serve this over buttered noodles. Very good with a rosy wine and a light salad.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs of boneless chicken
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1.5 cups chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons garlic (or two cloves, minced)
- 1.5 cups of Muir Glen tomato basil sauce
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 0.5 cup sour cream
- salt
- pepper
Directions:
- Mix the chicken with half the paprika and some salt/pepper.
- Heat half the butter in a skillet over med-high heat. Add the chicken and brown, about 5 minutes.
- Take the chicken out and set aside on a plate, cover if you want with foil.
- Add the rest of the butter, onions, and cook till golden, 3-4 minutes.
- Add the garlic, rest of paprika, and cook for a minute.
- Add the sauce and broth. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 5-8 minutes, or until thickened.
- Add the sour cream, then add the chicken back and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the chicken is done.
