Taxes

So I did my taxes tonight. Not as painful as I thought they’d be, even getting a refund from both the state and federal govt. Kinda easy to do online, just following the prompts. Some of it was worded strange, but whatever.

The real sad part was seeing how much they’ve taken out of my paychecks over the past 7 months. Oh well. I suppose the roads need to be paved.

For those of you in Maryland who are going to be doing taxes this year, e-filing is pretty easy. Irs.gov will point you to free places to file federal taxes, this year I used H&R Block. They’ll try to charge you extra to do your state taxes too, but you can do them for free at Marylandtaxes.com. You have to file federal first, among the reasons is that you need info from that to do your state taxes. Odd, but whatever.
