Government Security
April 10, 2006 – 1:40 amOk, so I did this last year. Took the annual sudo federal government security audit (pdf) and looked at it.
And, suprise suprise, the results were quite similar.
- 8 Government Departments recieved a failing grade. That’s 1/3 of the government.
- Those that failed included: The Department of Energy, The Department of State, The Department of the Interior, The Department of Defense, and The Department of Homeland Security. Can you say oops?
- 7 got failing grades last year. That number went up. Double oops.
- 10 agencies improved. Yey!
- 8 agencies got worse. Sad.
Ah well. Good to know that the government isn’t keeping any information on US citizens or anything. *cough*IRS*cough*Treasury Dept got a D*cough*

Doesn’t that report just give you warm fuzzies inside?
What’s even more fun is when you’re learning about all this stuff in Public Management and Leadership and thinking to yourself “Well, we’re fucked. Only I can’t say that outloud because professor will give me evil glare of doom. Will sit here and silently take notes and not think about how we’re all fucked.”
