Loquacious

March 22, 2006 – 3:19 am

So Tom created a new word, “Loquacious.” I felt obliged to provide commentary by myself and Joe, stolen from LiftPort’s blog.

Joe:
Isn’t “Loquacious” Picard’s name when he’s assimilated into the borg?

I was just thinking the other day about how unrealistic “the borg” is. “Resistance is futile…” more like unnecessary. If you gave people all the technological goodies that are built in to the borg, they would just install them all themselves, and pay through the nose to get them. Just look at bluetooth headsets.

Seth:
Me thinkith you mean “Locutus”… but now my geekness is showing.
I was recently reading an article about this sort of technology for dogs, though I imagine some may be concerned about privacy; do you want your nieghbor to know exactly where/when your dog buried the bone in his garden?

Seriously, stuff like this IS pretty cool. Give the technology a few years… I’d wear it. Maybe.

  2. That is actaully a word. I think it means really talkitive or maybe talking too much.

It’s a cool sounding word though.

  4. Yah, Seth. What is this world coming to when the engineer knows more words than the history major?

    Youth these days…
